Furthermore, some parts use brass, which, during its manufacturing process, can contain varying levels of lead. Using brass components in drinking water systems poses certain health risks to humans. Precisely for these reasons, there is a push to urgently find a material to replace copper, enabling the creation of cleaner, safer, and more economically efficient water systems.

High-rigidity, glass-fiber reinforced PPO (Polyphenylene Oxide) series products offer low water absorption and excellent dimensional stability, providing superior dimensional accuracy and performance, making them widely suitable for water meter components. PPO series alloys are exceptional, versatile materials, being blends of polyphenylene oxide (PPO) and polystyrene (PS). Their most notable feature is outstanding hydrolytic stability. They exhibit extremely low water absorption at both room and elevated temperatures, allowing them to maintain performance and dimensional stability in water, high humidity, and even steam environments. Additionally, these PPO series alloys are nearly impervious to most aqueous solutions, detergents, acids, and bases.
